This project is a pivot from an earlier attempt of Zenergy.
I tried to build Zenergy as a startup with very little experience. That part was fine. The mistake was focusing on monetization before building something I genuinely wanted to use on a day to day basis.
Because the goal was revenue, the product was shaped by what I thought a startup should look like rather than what actually helped me. I added features for the sake of sounding viable instead of solving a real personal problem.
I did not use it consistently, and it failed as a result.
This pivot is about stepping back and rebuilding with a different priority. The goal now is to create something I would actually use every day, without pressure to monetize or scale early.
Build for personal use first
Solve real problems I face daily
Let monetization come naturally, if at all
If other developers or people find it useful, that is a bonus. Monetization, if it ever happens, comes later and is not the driver.
